It is with a great deal of sadness that I commiserate with the Catholic Church worldwide, the Apostolic Administrator of Katsina-Ala Diocese, Most Reverend Dr. William Avenya and the entire community of Katsina-Ala, over the passing to Glory of a dearest friend and a classmate, Bishop Peter Adoboh. Indeed, a beautiful soul, full of love and faith, has ascended to heaven – away from us but closer to God, leaving us with loneliness and sadness.
Our beloved Bishop, we take console that your wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts because you came into our lives and left an unerasable fingerprint in our hearts. Anytime we met our first greetings began with laughter and ended with laughter. I know for a fact that it is impossible to forget about you because you gave us so much. I know for a fact that you will continue to participate in every act, thought and decision that we make.

We know that you were deeply committed and concerned with the welfare of the poor in rural areas and your desire and wish were to do more. For this reason, I brought before you the idea of Bishop Peter Adodoh Pharmacy Initiative. Even in pains, I remember how excited you became because you shared the concerns about so many lives that we are losing by preventable cases of malaria, diabetes, and stroke associated with hypertension. I remember how excited you were to call on Sr. Susan Tonguve to take charge of this initiative. I am very delighted to announce here that Bishop Peter Adoboh Pharmacy Initiative is now an immortalized project for our Bishop, Most Revd. Peter I. Adoboh to his people in Katsina-Ala Diocese and indeed to the people of Benue State and beyond.
May your soul be fully rested with Him until we meet again.
