| A Brief History of Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Quasi Parish, Tsavnum
What is today known as Tsavnum Quasi Parish started in 1942, then in Holy Ghost Parish Makurdi, Makurdi Diocese of Benue State. As time goes on they were compared to go back to St. Mary’s Parish Wukari in Gongora State, because of the River Katsina-Ala boundary adjustments, they were moved to St. Anthony’s Parish Zaki-Biam, to All Saints Parish, Ugba and finally to Holy Ghost Parish Abeda. With the creation of Katsina-Ala Diocese, the Catholic bishop of Katsina-Ala diocese Most Rev. Peter I. Adoboh graciously created Tsavnum out of Abeda Parish on 24th August 2013; pioneered by Very Rev. Fr. Peter Ukor Agema. The pastoral unit has (9) zones with (56) out stations. |
